SkiStar — from website to primary sales channel
Presale from 2% to over 80%, with an entire winter holiday booked in one flow.
We have worked with SkiStar since 1998. Over that time their digital presence has moved from an informative website to inspiration, a booking platform and interactive storytelling in VR.
From 2 per cent presale to over 80
The shift came from building the platform around the visitor. skistar.com is now the primary sales channel, with revenue above 800 million kronor. Most of that leap comes from letting the visitor book an entire winter holiday in one place — ski school, equipment, accommodation and transport, along with clothing, lift passes and bags of groceries delivered to the cabin. Changes during the stay are handled by logging in.
One team across two organisations
Our team works inside their organisation so that improvements and new features can be launched quickly. We are part of their company in much the same way they are part of ours.
A real run, in VR
For the Alpine World Cup in Åre in 2019 we produced a VR experience that let people take an actual run during a real race — breathtaking Super-G or technical slalom, whichever they chose.
About SkiStar
